#3

I sat down, Splendor sitting next to me, I was oddly comforted by his presence. Gently he spoke "You had the only surviving Der Großmann Pages left. You found them in an abandoned Insane Asylum here in Kentucky." as he said these things, I had no idea what he was talking about, nothing of this seemed familiar.  Quickly I stood up and pulled my hair back, "No, no! You have the wrong person!" I yelled and the tall creature shook his head "I'm sorry Alice, I wish I did." he said in content and for the first  time frowned "Wait, what did you call me?" I asked "Alice, that's your name, isn't it?" then it was like I got hit by a brick wall. A memory, just for a quick moment, and then it was gone. A quick glimpse of a building, rotten and moldy. "Is something wrong child?" he asked "I, I saw a building, in, in my mind." The smile returned to Splendor's face. "Good, let's go...". As this was being said, a loud scream was heard and a shape was seen swinging through the trees.

...The next thing I know, I'm laying on the ground on my stomach. I push myself up with my arms and flip over on my back only to be greeted by the tall creature with the face. I jump back and crawl back with my back against a tree. "Please young one, do not be frightened." It said, and yet, it's mouth didn't move "Come here.". I stayed put, as it reached out it's hand "Come, I will not harm you." slowly I made my way to my feet and stared at the tall creature ten feet away from me, even though it's hand was only three. "What, what are you?" I asked, sizing it up with my eyes. Out came a laugh from it, "Not what, who," it said and chuckled a bit more "I am Splendor Man, and I am the one who saved you, I thought you would be grateful." he continued and slowly his hand made it's way back to his body.

I really don't know what to think, I have to be dreaming "No, you're not dreaming, this is not dreamland." he said to me "How, how..." those two word are all I could get out "Perhaps I should explain, I am hear to help you, but for me to help you need to tell me where it is." he said to me "W-where what is?" I asked. "Well the journal of course." he asked and I just gave a confused look, "What journal?". Splendor tilted his head, "You don't remember anything do you?" and walked toward me, "Sit, young one. We need to talk."...

#1

With a heavy breath, I fall to the ground, no memory of anything in my mind. A name? None that I know of. My Age? I don't that either. Where I am? Nothing. All around me, trees, trees, and more trees. My eyesight is so blurry, that I can hardly make out the outline of my hand in front of me. As my eyes adjust to my surroundings, the moonlight makes it's way through the tree above me. Slowly I make my way up to my feet, and I'm now a person, I'm able to think and tell what's going on around me.

So I look behind me, and above me stands, an impossibly tall man, in a suit, white skin, and no face! I turn to face him, and take few steps back. Black tendrils reach from behind it, they seem to drip. One grabs my leg, another grabs my other leg. The thing pulls me to the ground, and two more tendrils grab my arms, the four tendrils bring me up in the air, and more start to wrap around me. Slowly I am all but consumed by these tendrils, then suddenly I hear a loud screech . I am unwrapped and placed in a tall tree, I drip with the black ooze covering the thing's tendrils. I open my eyes to see a creature, similar to the the first one, only this one has a black suit with many different colored polka dots, a face (not much of one, just simple mouth and black eyes), and top hat. It looks to me and nods, as tendrils come from it's back, much like the the other's, but these one's don't drip, and each one has a bell on the tip of them.

I am quickly grabbed by other thing's tendrils, and held above him. Quickly the two creatures start to engage in battle, the faceless one not moving, and only using it's tendrils, the one carrying me moves around slicing the other's tendrils...
